What Is Social Marketing?

In the traditional business model, customer purchases create company profits that are then directed toward television, radio, print and other forms of mass advertising designed to create additional customer purchases.  In Social Marketing™, Shaklee simply redirects our advertising costs to our Independent Distributors to help create our loyal consumer base while placing you in position to take advantage of this multi-billion dollar industry.  
More than 50 years ago, our founder Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee, knew that someone who tries our products would be the best advertisement the products could ever have.  And he thought it was only right to reward people with “thank you” payments for doing what they would do anyway.

And through this radical approach to owning your own business and determining your own destiny, we’ve paid our distributors more than $4 billion in commissions.  Without ever missing a payment. 

Can I really earn a significant income through a home-based business with Shaklee?

How much money can I earn with a Shaklee business?

There is no limit to what you can earn in Shaklee. How far you go and what you earn depends on your efforts. The top Distributors in Shaklee earn over a million dollars a year. Distributors in the Master Coordinator rank (the top rank in Shaklee) enjoy average incomes of over $265,620 a year (based on 2007 1099-MISC).  Directors (the first leadership rank) earned an average of $11,224 in 2007, and Executive Coordinators (middle rank) earned $61,130 in 2007.

What kind of training and support will be available to me?

Shaklee Distributors receive essential support from two key partners in developing their business:  their upline sponsor, and the Shaklee Home Office.  From their upline sponsor, Distributors receive group and one-on-one coaching, and formal Training is available through local and regional meetings, as well as through Global Conference, corporate-sponsored training Events (like EXCITE) and regularly scheduled Conference Calls.  Visit the online Events Calendar for current information about what’s available!

Shaklee also offers online training to all of our Distributors, through Shaklee University.  It’s free, available 24/7, and contains the collective wisdom of top Shaklee Business Leaders who have actually done it – built a successful Shaklee business that affords them a significant income, financial security, control over their own destinies, and the ability to prioritize what’s most important to them.   

What do I need to do to get started?

• Sign up as a GOLD Ambassador for $299.  It’s the recommended way to get started building a business in Shaklee, because it not only has tremendous value (over $500 retail value), but also enables you to participate in both GOLD Ambassador and Tru-Infinity™ bonuses.  GOLD Ambassador gives you the best possible start in Shaklee. 
• Place an initial product order for 100 PV (joining through the GOLD Ambassador Program takes care of this). Choose from among a variety of Shaklee Mission PAKs, or simply choose products you would like to try or change brands on products you buy elsewhere, but now can buy from Shaklee.  
• Set up an AutoShip order for products you’ll use regularly. 
• Start using your products and experience the Shaklee Difference.  Soon you’ll be talking with everyone you know about the difference in how you feel and helping them to experience it too! 
• Go through the materials in the GOLD Ambassador Program Mission PAK when it arrives.  Follow the Plan of Action and schedule a time to meet with your upline sponsor to develop your Shaklee business plan and to officially launch your business.

Can I purchase products without being a Distributor or building a business?

• Yes, you can.  You can purchase products at retail OR you can join Shaklee as a Member for $19.95, and receive a discount off the retail price of Shaklee products. 
• You can also join as a Distributor for $39.95 and share Shaklee products, with the opportunity to earn additional income, but without participating in the GOLD Ambassador Program or Tru-Infinity™.
