SHAKLEE BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER TO DESERVING GIRLS AND BOYS
BY DONATING $200,000 WORTH OF PRODUCT AND GIFTS TO THREE
LOCAL CHILDREN'S ORGANIZATIONS

Shaklee Employee 'Elves' Assemble and Deliver Over 1,700 Gift
Bags to the Tri-Valley Haven, Shepherd's Gate and the Marylin
Avenue School

PLEASANTON, CA - December 22, 2005 – Shaklee Corporation has made the holidays a little brighter for local boys and girls this year through the donation of 1,700 fun gift bags to a trio of deserving children's organizations. The selected three serve children throughout the Tri-Valley area, and include the Tri–Valley Haven, Shepherd's Gate and the Marylin Avenue School. The gift bags were assembled and delivered by Shaklee employee 'elves' on December 19th to the Tri–Valley Community Foundation, who assisted in the final distribution to the selected organizations.

Of the 1,700 gift bags, 700 were donated to the effort by individual Shaklee distributors, as the result of an internal sponsoring incentive program.

In the bags, boys found Shaklee gym bags, sweatshirts, jackets and Frisbees. Girls discovered mini-flowered totes, and fun cosmetics including three lip glosses, three nail polishes and a shimmer powder compact and brush.

"We're so grateful to the generous folks at Shaklee for the wonderful gift packages donated to Tri-Valley Haven's Holiday Warehouse," said Vicki Thompson, Tri–Valley Haven's associate director. "The Haven was able to provide holiday gifts for approximately 600 Tri–Valley families in need. We couldn't have done it without you!"

"The women and children from our community usually come to us with nothing...but their pain. Shepherd's Gate serves some of the most needy people of all.......battered and homeless women and kids," said Steve McRee, executive director of the center. "Shaklee has made the lives of these precious women and children brighter this Christmas by their generosity. The wonderful backpacks, sweatshirts and toys are greatly needed and appreciated."

"The work done by these three groups is inspiring, and to see how much our efforts were appreciated really meant a lot to us," said Clarissa Perez–Pacheco, product manager for Shaklee Corporation. "We sometimes forget, in all the bustle of the season, that it's really all about the children. We're grateful for the opportunity to help make the holidays a bit more special for all the kids that depend on these critical organizations."

About the Selected Organizations
Tri–Valley Haven provides services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness. In addition to a 24–hour crisis line, the organization provides individual and group counseling, and an emergency shelter. Shepherd's Gate provides services and housing for battered and homeless women and children. Its religious–based programs and facility provide a place to regroup, and life survival advice and job skills/training are also offered. All programs provided by Shepherd's Gate are available regardless of age, race, or religion. Marylin Avenue School serves as the central distribution point for the entire Livermore School District.
